BIO:
I have enjoyed teaching piano since 1978 and love to incorporate all types of music from every time period and style: Baroque / Classical / Romantic / Contemporary to Jazz / Blues / Pop, so that every student may develop an all-encompassing appreciation of music by being well rounded in all styles. I also feel that music theory, duet / ensemble playing, and chord improvisation is very important to the overall education of the music student.
I love teaching music to young children through adults, and believe it is never too late to begin learning! I am an accompanist, as well as a vocalist, and have been a church musician, singing, playing organ, keyboard, and piano for most of my life. Since 1995 I have been the Director of Choirs at Our Savior Lutheran Church, leading the adult and children’s choirs, as well as directing the children’s musical each year.
